How is chutnefy different from other wet chutneys?

Chutnefy is cooked the traditional way, then gently freeze-dried to remove moisture while retaining 100% of the flavour and up to 95% of the nutrition. Unlike wet chutneys that rely heavily on preservatives or constant refrigeration, Chutnefy stays shelf-stable as a light, dry powder. Add water, and it comes alive again, tasting just as fresh as the day it was made.

Do I need to temper the chutney after mixing?

No, tempering isn’t required.
The chutney is already fully cooked and seasoned for balanced flavour. However, if you enjoy a fresh tadka, you’re welcome to add one. It’s completely optional.

This chutney does not contain

Added preservatives, artificial colours or flavours, thickeners or fillers.
Just real ingredients, cooked traditionally and preserved thoughtfully.

Bell Pepper [Capsicum] Chutney

The Backstory

Bell peppers may feel contemporary, but they’ve quietly settled into our Indian kitchens over the last few decades, especially in urban homes where new vegetables were absorbed not as replacements, but as extensions of familiar flavours. Known locally as capsicum, we treat them just like onions or tomatoes, sautéed slowly, balanced with spice, and grounded with nuts to soften their sweetness. .....

Our Bell Pepper Chutney brings together red and yellow peppers, gently cooked with onion and garlic until mellow and rounded. Cashew adds body and warmth, while sesame oil anchors the chutney in a South Indian flavour tradition that values depth over heat. What emerges is a chutney that feels both new and familiar, as proof that Indian kitchens have always known how to make room for change without losing their soul.
